Llangors lake is reportedly the only place outside Scotland or Ireland which has a crannog! This makes the area very special and suggests links bbetween Ireland and Wales in the 8th-9th century. Just a note though; the crannog shown in this picture is a modern recreation.

It’s worth visiting Llangors to have a look or if you ever get to Scotland head to the Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay – well worth a visit.

I’m very lucky – living in a place as beautiful as this it is hard to take bad photos.
